4. Horde and Loot

In apocalyptic world, there really is no need for manners. If you can find in, don't just keep it, horde it. It doesn't matter what you horde, weapons, items, protections, whatever will be useful. If you find left part of Triangle Key, keep it! There is bound to be a door with triangle lock and convince yourself that the right part is lying around somewhere. Beyond the door, there will be salvation.. or just the next level.

Mind you, half-naked scantily clad lithe women and steroid overdose muscle dudes has the same inventory capability. Let say it's 9 slots. Every item has their own slot. Yes, one herbal medicine equals 100 rounds of ammo equals to rocket launcher. They all fit in one slot respectively. What's that? you want to add another magazine? Tough break. "You can't carry anymore item"... and no, don't try to fit it in your spare pocket, it won't work. Read the explanation.

If you have suitcase, the essential tool for every looter, that's even better. Practically every thing you need can be fit to the suitcase. Snipers, shotguns, ladies' undergarments, grenades and all sort of nasty stuffs fit in one conveniently built case. 5. Triple Tap

It's a no brainer that you need to "shoot them in the head". Come on now, are you not sick seeing someone shoot them and screams, "aghh they still moves/lives/stands after i shot them. Whatever should I do? Can someone give me such wise advice?".. That's right. Headshot is your friend, even if it didn't die, it should be stunned/maimed/screaming "oh my soft unprotected head, my only weakness, how did they ever know".

At this point run towards them and press X to melee attack them. All in the name of saving one fricking measly bullet. They should die a this point. You can confirm it if they leave some ammo or points behind. If not then the last tap. Aim it to the down below... the pelvis/ the groin/ the privates. It serves a few purposes. If it didn't die after headshot, the only undisputed weakness must be groin. If it still lives, it should wish it didn't. Most importantly, it relaxes me you.

Ahhhhhhhh..... don't say it's not beautiful...

6. Bosses

The thorn of your wounded flesh. There will be times in your quest for survival that you meet anime powered-up mofos, like zombie super Saiyan. They will absorb ridiculous amount of bullets, grenades and baits to kill. But fret not, most of the time, just run away. What? It's not like the rooms are sealed when you encounter them or you won't be able to push the story forward if you don't beat them. Just run away and let them kill the nearest poor bastard.

Assuming you are self righteous hero wannabe who still want to fight them despite the warning, go right ahead, but please do remember to bring an RPG into battle.. No, I don't mean Final Fantasy.. A single shoot from rocket launcher is all you need to kill them. Even if somehow the mofo able to catch it mid-air, just shoot the rocket. It is perfectly rational.

Of course there are times when boss battle won't feel that bad, like when your old sexy scantily clad friend turned ninja has red mind control device you must pull off of her chest with the aid of your new sexy scantily clad friend and they scream slightly erotic when you do it. It isn't so bad.

How to survive Zombie Apocalypse.

Finally able to play a game after one month.. Gah the withdrawal effect wasn't too friendly. I need to shoryuken, cast some magic or shoot something in the head. So I have this Dead Rising2. Damn.. it's awesome. A bit hard though, my stiff gaming hands don't response well.

Okay, so I saw this zombie survival guide and I thought I have an half an hour or so to kill and did one :la la la:. Let's face it guys 2012 is coming. Armageddon. We are screwed. But do you want a meteor / tsunami / some natural shit happen and BAM... death. No! That's not cool. Zombie apocalypse, now that's fun.

Imagine arming yourself to the teeth and shoot anyone moving in the head. Sorry, granny, my self-preservation defense mechanism just kicked in.. You look good with that lead ornament on your forehead though. Imagine sending your friend bait ally and flanking the unsuspecting meathead. Imagine the random cool stuffs you can build to allegedly save yourself. Straw + soda can + lighter = Molotov cocktail. Instant MacGyver.

Now if you want to do this cool stuffs, you need to prepare for it now. For video game is "how to survive zombie" real life simulation. Seriously, they teach marine this stuff. There are some basic rules:

1. Find a mall.

It is imperative that you find nearest biggest mall. I choose TA, let's go there when shits happen. Mall just got everything you need to survive. Foods, drinks, weapons, key cards, armored vehicles etc.. Don't let the innocent front of mall fooled you, it is actually zombie bunker in disguise, some government conspiracy or something. Just remember to lock all doors and window,. What you say there will be no exits? Don't worry just go to roof and paint "ZOMG HELP SAVE US".

Don't worry there will be paint available, if not use your dead bait comrade blood. It will send another unspoken message "SHIT MAN WE ARE DYING".. They will either save you or treat you like bubonic plague. If mall isn't available, a hotel will do, but I rather not go in there, because hotel equals rich people.. And rich people will offer you money for your newly customized shotgun or beg you to save them.. which let us to

2. Don't do escort mission

Whatever you do, don't pick up strays and try to save them. They will, I swear this will happen, become a burden so big they'll drag you to hell. First on the list is cute / hot / sexy chicks who are unable to pull a trigger. If they are some president daughter or some shit, avoid at all cost. For some reason they attract attention of hungry zombies and they are #3 on "most likely to cause dead" list. If somehow, by some miracle you survive, but she didn't, you will get this uneasy feeling that "mission failed" and it's all your fault.

So we are not to team up and ignore other survivor? Actually no, that takes us to...

3. AI Partners

In case you end up in some hostile environment, you will need a partner. First on the list is cute / hot / sexy chicks who are able to pull a trigger. This will ultimately increase you likelihood of survival. She can spray you with some first aid kit if you are bleeding to death or lost some limbs. She can toss ammo when you are out, don't worry she'll know. It's on the HUD. She can also do acrobatic move to reach places that you can't, don't worry that you will get separated, there are always some rendezvous points ahead.

She can also stock up items that you don't need, although her inventory space, despite her clothes or her weight is stagnant. There are downsides though. She will think that she is sexy and put her butt in front of you when you aim,. Well it's not a bad view, but I rather it's not the last thing I see. She can also shoot you in the back of your head, friendly fire they say. Regardless you can't hate her.. The reason is... well.. she looks like this..

if you don't find partners like this, you are doing it wrong...

Psyren again..

I don't want to sounds like broken record here, but I really got to tell how increasingly awesome psyren is. This won't take long. I'll just compare it to others so you can determine it yourself. Well before that my drawing...

I'm doing pen now, since my scanner sucks at pencil

The easy one first. Is it better than Naruto? Yes. Without a doubt. They both have more anime looks but psyren just more slightly realistic and it improves over just a few dozens chapter while Naruto just remains like that for hundreds chapter. Ageha, the hero is more likeable than Naruto. He's flawed and more like empath, hmm like Peter Petrelli in Heroes, not the ability but the nature of character. He is actually just another shounen stereotype, but because his flaws, it's easy to root for him. Naruto just loud.

Is it better than Bleach? Yeah, definitely. Bleach started off great, but when it tossed 13 captains and 13 vice-captain, it lost focus fast. The battle just random hack and slash while Psyren is more tactical and thoughtful. Its attention of detail is superb. Virtually everything Bleach has to offers, Psyren has it in better version. Think of it like Bleach, but more intellect and bad-ass.

substitute for Yoruichi.

Is it better than Death Note? Depends. If you like focus on tactic only, Death Note is the one to go, it has serious great pace and realistic art. But if you like more focus on combat but still offer tactic, Psyren is the one to go. Psyren has many set of rules and it's a bold move to go for apocalypse, urban myth or occult, but Psyren do it brilliantly. The narrative doesn't becomes dull because the explanation, not like Air Gear that spits bull crap. The narrative is well-written. I go for Psyren, DN was too madesu for me.

Is it better One Piece? No, but CLOSE. seriously close. It is surprising at such early stage it managed to be nearly as good as One Piece. The thing that made One Piece great is mainly the chars and how they deal with conflict, and you will love the chars here. They are original, relateable and genuinely draw your sympathy. It is because they are flawed that you like them. It's the kind that grows on you.

A nod for Amamiya character, she really stands out as the main female. Somewhat fragile, disturbed but managed to hold her own. She is not weak, there are moments that she needs to be rescue and willing to rescue others. She is sarcastic, but there are subtle hints of kindness. The only appropriate analogy would be Hit Girl. Kudos for Toshiaki Iwashiro for awesome respectful gorgeous char without the help of breast implant.

Rukia, Inoue, Simca, Sakura, Lucy etc don't even come close. Nami and Hawk Eye do come close, but not as good.

Is it as good as FMA? lol sorry but FMA is like Holy Grail of manga/anime, it really is the best. But Psyren has the some same qualities like how the characters shares the spotlight or the impending doom when the characters band together. It's classic Seven Samurai (the classic movie, not anime) style. It's how they struggle and live through the hardship, this is great stuff.

It's not perfect, there are still some scenes where the villains unnecessary brag about their powers. There is also slight predictability, only little though. It surprised me some time and I laughed more than when reading Naruto, Fairy Tail and Bleach combined. I didn't even remember when I laughed on One Piece. The humor is not silly, but straight and cynical.

On more downside, I've been writing a story for a while. It's really hard though. Too fast and it's obscure, too slow and it's boring. Psyren is just great, able to maintain the flow and reveal the story bits by bits. There are some similarities from my story to Psyren, I didn't know it before, but seeing one did it so well. It's a bit overwhelming. Man I wish I can be as good as this.

Sick of Naruto or Bleach didn't meet up to your expectation. The only manga worth your while is One Piece, but still has need for reading manga.. I understand man. I just found what could be the substitute for Naruto or Bleach. Meet Psyren. If you knew about it and didn't tell me.. "slapped".. ehmm..

So finished dante request, call it bday present, background practice etc if you will.. I'm efficient..

Psyren is a mix between what's good from Naruto, Bleach, Gantz and Matrix. I know it sounds too good to be true, but it just is. The story is rather occult and sci-fi. The set is present Japan and there is a world called "Psyren", only selected few can find it. There's rumor that it is actually paradise itself. The hero, Ageha stumbled across a red calling card. It's the card you use at public phone when you didn't have BB / iPhone.

After using it, he was teleported to Psyren. It turned out to be a game. The game is simple, one travel to the future pick up the phone at starting point then a map and exit point appears. Just get to the exit point and pick up the phone at exit point to safely return to present. Yes... This is so Matrix, man.

There is solid amount of occult here. Ranging from apocalypse theory, cultism, urban legend etc. But it doesn't text heavy like Deatn Note. In fact there are plenty battle scenes. The battle is simply great, it's technical like Naruto (original) where team work and thoughtful battle like Shikamaru's actually matter. The pace is amazingly balanced, it has Bleach / FMA fast vibe, but more like when Byakuya's or Mustang's battle.

Then the characters. Ageha, the hero is your stereotype shounen hero, like Ichigo but with black hair. But he grows to be likeable, he plans things out and doesn't act retard like Naruto. He doesn't spam just one move and becomes bad-ass all of the sudden like Ichigo. The other characters share the spotlight as well. It seems that the author doesn't want to Mary Sue just one character, that's always a good thing.

But maybe the most interesting char is Amamiya, the somewhat heroine. She looks fragile, but turn out a bit psycho. Imagine Hit-Girl but a bit more delicate. The humor is nice. I didn't remember when I actually laugh when I read manga, but I lol'ed many time reading this. It's sarcastic, but witty. Not your average, Naruto being a retard joke. The art as you can see is anime-ish, but it's slightly realistic, close too Bleach but not as good.

Bleach has no way to go from here, the final Getsuga is cool though. I imagine after so much attention went to Ichigo, he might find someway to get his power back, but seriously against who.. Naruto just lost in its own mythology and lazy art, the recent Mommy flashback is nice, but it tries to be romantic too far. Ninja A is so strong 100 years ago, but Ninja B defeated him and created some group with Ninja C.. bla bla We know it's gonna be Naruto vs Sasuke at the end, the author said so. If they somehow become buddy again, that's just naive.

Okay I just read 30-40 ch (latest is 138) and it's still very young compare those two. There is a bit flaw too, but damn this is the most interesting manga I've read for awhile. So here's an alternative for you, just with a slight wiggle of your thumb (in case you miss the link above).. Give it shot if you have time. Rate 8.5/10

Holy Sh*t! It's a dude! (pt.2)

Well before all that creepy stuff. I want to rant, just a bit. It's been four months since I draw, yeah, I count. The goal is 1 year to Bleach / Gantz level, not copy cat, but my original. For once, I actually think I need more free time. I can make do 8-10 hours per week to draw, but that's not nearly enough. Think of it like college, if you have average 20 sks, you will spent 16-17 hours learning per week.

I spent about half of that, 10 sks maybe.. kapan maw lulus TT... Not to mention time to research references and bug some artist in DA etc. It's not efficient, in class you got stuffs handed to you, write this down, copy this. I just realized it saves time a lot, preventing trial & error dramatically. My whole learning process is just a bunch of trial & error. I'm afraid there is a limit of self-taught.

Well, if somehow some art master read this, please teach me, I don't care if it's 6, 16 or 60 years old people. I'll call you Nii/Nee-sama, "TT"

Edit: oh one more thing, I just saw contest with Bleach theme on DA, I know I'm a noob, but what the hell maybe I'll try it. If it's color, well I'm shit out of luck. If sketches are allowed, then I'll need a favor, just a few clicks please.

Man, I always thought Shun was a chick. There is no way that could be a dude, but it turned out to be a dude nevertheless. This is the shit we need to ban or at least give the people some education or parental guidance. 3. Sharlott from Air Gear

This dude is downright creepy. He is probably still 10 years old. He wears lolita outfit with long blond hair and bondage mistress attitude. He saved this one guy and and almost die because of it, instead he returned the favor by doing blood / limb transfer or something. They have been partners (read mistr... master and slave) ever since. Don't look at me, it's Air Gear.

In fact this one chapter was the first chapter I read after years without seeing Air Gear. Years ago when I watched the anime, it was sport manga, now it's became this pile of perverse literature despite the cool art. I went to some forum when OneManga was down, I skimmed the comment and some were saying that s..he was cute. I don't know what more disturbing, many people fell into the trap or they said that knowing it's a trap

2. Bridget from Guilty Gear

Bridget is a boy, let's be clear about this. The story goes that he is one of a twin. For whatever rule, a twin mustn't be raise identically, so he was raised with female clothes. The more disturbing is he wears nun clothes, yeah the lonely women of the clothes, not really sure why. He also uses yo-yo and teddy bear in a fight. There is also this giant handcuff he always carry, like you know, pervert bondage.

Not enough innuendo for you, he also being chased around by another male character. Bravo for not only portrayed a char as transgender but also object of pedophile. The story goes that he's not even bother if the nun outfit is weird and contradictorily want to appear somewhat like a man, but I mean just look...

1. Kaine from Nier ??

From far away Kaine looks beautiful, from up close she's gorgeous. I think the developer of Nier just flushed out all attempt for background and decent graphic, then invested most amount of time for Kaine's design. Let talk about the game a bit, the graphic sucks like PS2 era, the gameplay is so shallow and lack of variety, the original DMC or even more simple KH can surpass it. The good things about it are the unique story, the outrageous character and the OST is superb. There are few games when I stopped to admire the scenery, but Nier was the first time I stopped and hung out near NPC to listened to her song.

This is Kaine. I want to draw like that.

Kaine is one of the original and amazing char in a long time. She wears lingerie and high heel the WHOLE time. The outfit teases and reveals just enough. She wields two saw-like blades and cuts off some monster and there is blood everywhere also splatter all over her.. ehem "calms down" .. And her voice oh.. dubbed by Laura Bailey who did Halibel, Rayne, Chun-Li, Lust etc. Such sweet voice and she used it to maximum profanity. Yes, such elegant and classy when dropping sh*t F bomb. And she is possesed by demon too. Oh the girl of my dream.. :D

But later, slowly and with subtle approach, it's revealed that she is "armed".. yeah.. she is "packed".. Okay, so you have to finished the game 3-4 times to actually know her whole story, ending B, C and D.. I've completed maybe 2-3 ending, I forgot. It's half a year ago and I don't have time to trudge through the boring uninspired game. Maybe later, if I have the time, but I'm not sure if I want to know.The majority of media says she/he.. you know what I mean.

I so want... to draw like that..

The whole time, the game calls her "She" and even though some narratives are a bit disturbing, like "sexless beautiful face" or "unique trait" or something, the game never blatantly says that she is a dude.. yet, maybe in further endings. The design is great, before the launch Squeenix hinted that she is he, maybe to save innocent souls. It also serves another purpose, so people would ogle at her private, but it never obvious that she is "packed", the undergarment covers it just so. I know what you are thinking Squeenix!! That's some bad-ass marketing technique you got there.

This actually made my wallie for a short while before.. Damn weird Japanese dev..

For being such outrageous dynamic, albeit confusing character and made passed through censorship. Oh holy hell what certain group of kepo would do if they find out about this game.. There will be chaos.. Great job Japan / Korea /Taiwan! Make a world of dudes who look like girls and girls who look like pornstar. Who's with me!!.. I'm kidding -.- Please stop making chars like this.

Time for happy happy note. Ever wonder where the 80' era macho guys disappeared to? Well other than Expendables? Yeah me too. Apparently nowadays comic, movie, anime, game and most medias use more effeminate and sentimental characters. I can see the reason though, it's hard to go for the thought provoking story driven character with big muscle bound steroid Ahnold type. But some take it way to far...

This is a request for DA friend..

Now almost, if not all characters here are from Asian. For some reason Asian medias have used effeminate sometimes androgynous characters, even the ones with more wild trait are portrayed to have medium type body. Ever see Asian game anime whatever use Marcus Fenix type from GoW? No, me too. It's fine though, understandable even, but sometimes they pull out "IT'S A TRAP" characters..

The best stories can make you invest in the characters and plot. Whether it's their conflicts, their designs, their voice-overs etc. In fact, the more successful stories make you care about the characters. Take Titanic for example.. hmm too drama.. Dark Knight or Inception then, when Batman battle against Joker, we can sympathy when he have to choose best friend or girl friend. The moment of Bomb-them-before-they-bomb-us in ships can also be interesting. We care if the button in Inception falls, don't we?

Even in 300, the death of Leonidas is meant to be dramatic. So what if some artist makes "IT'S A TRAP" characters? Imagine the embarrassment and the WTF moment if what we thought cool awesome beautiful bad-ass chick turned out to be a dude!!?? Imagine Hit Girl in Kick-Ass turn out to be Hit Boy!! GAHHHHHHH!!!!! THE PAIN!!!!!

6. Lau Wong from Bujingai

The game wasn't that impressive. It's practically a explosion of gajebo lightning or some other shit.. It's repetitive button mashing game, but it featured.. Gackt.. Yes truly he became a game character. I never dig the girly look, but hey some developer found it a brilliant idea to feature him. He landed in last because he doesn't appear as woman.. kinda..

5. Calintz from Magna Carta : Tears of Blood.

Calintz looks like he stole clothes from Lady Gaga's wardrobe. He has this slender hourglass figure and pecks that looks like boobs. He even has some holes or whatever those things are in his pants to show her thighs. Man whore. He got this Asian hair that most female die for. And he moves like a girl too. The only feature that resemble a dude is when he speaks. His soprano voice creep the hell out of me every time.

4. Kazuki Fuuchouin from Get Backers

Kazuki uses strings to fight, very macho indeed, The strings can be store in the bells attach on his silky hair.. So far so macho.. He wears women clothes.. Riighhttt.. Of all the male character in Get Backers, he is probably girlier than some of the girls. He just doesn't has boobs. For layman out there who haven't read it. Don't lust for him :P

One always question whether it's better to be talented or hard working. I'm just gonna say from the start it's better to be hard working. I found this amazing quote from Calvin Coolidge, former president of USA.

It's not that I envy them. More like I wonder what if I met them in real life at mid or high school. I know it's not possible due the age difference and locations. But what if... From books, internet, I don't really care. When I see their arts, I think what am I lacking? We all have two hands, two eyes. What separate me from them are time and effort, and I'm willing to commit on both. :)
